New Resin Car Works kits!

Santa Fe photo, Keith Jordon collection

Resin Car Works has released another version of the HO scale AT&SF Whalebelly 50-foot automobile boxcars. These one-piece body kits feature reversed Murphy steel ends. Two versions of this kit feature different Santa Fe decal sets. The previous RCW models had Dreadnaught ends.

Also new is a mini kit to transform an HO scale Accurail or Tichy USRA hopper into an offset side version.

The New York Central added 2,050 of these cars with Enterprise Railway Equipment offset sides between 1924 and 1927. They were originally assigned to the Big Four (CCC&StL), Michigan Central, NYC, and the Peoria & Eastern. These were among the earliest offset side hoppers in service. The NYC began renumbering nearly all of these hoppers into an NYC number series starting in 1936.

Frank Hodina upgraded the above Accurail model with the resin overlays. Decals are included.

The Resin Car Works website has additional kit information and ordering details.
