The 2024 RPM Naperville/Chicagoland Conference registration is now open! The team has been busy lining up presenters and vendors for the 28th RPM in metro Chicago, October 10 through 12.

The event kicks off on Thursday evening and swings into full steam on Friday and Saturday. We return to the beautiful Northern Illinois University Conference Center on the NIU campus in suburban Naperville, Illinois.

Advance Registration is now open and online. You can register using PayPal or print off a PDF to mail in with a check. A free HO scale Resin Car Works gift/mini-kit will be provided to the first 100 registered guests. This year’s mini-kit are HO scale parts for a Central of Georgia door-and-a-half box car.

Advance Registration is $60.00, until September 30. Registration at the door for the full event will be $75.00. Saturday-only Registration is $40.00, at the door only. Full details are on the Registration page.

Presentations are an RPM backbone and we have thirty-five presenters ready for the event. Nearly all clinics will be repeated. Twenty-one dealers and manufacturers, and five historical societies, will fill two vendor rooms. The Midwest Mod-U-Trak group’s large, highly prototypical HO and N scale layouts will be operating.

We have plenty of display space for your models. All scales, eras, gauges, and sizes are welcome. Fifty tables of space in one big room!

The 2024 RPM Naperville/Chicagoland is in a conference center with several nearby hotel and dining options. Share a room with a modeling friend to cut your costs! Here’s a Google Maps link to explore the area.

Time to make your plans to attend the 2024 RPM Naperville/Chicagoland event this October! We will see you there!

  1. Are there any layout open to see .If so who .My brother and myself are coming this year we would like to see a couple of layouts if possible

    1. We are working on a couple possibly open layouts in conjunction with the RPM event. More details will be posted to the website and sent to all registrants as the event nears. – Eric H.

  2. The picture of some of the freight cars I displayed last year caught my eye, and since the center focus is on three RCW loads, I’m wondering if that’s why you chose that picture. I displayed 64 cars, and many of them, including the SFRD reefer, ATSF box car, three tank cars in the picture were built from RCW kits. I’m glad to have provided advertising material, since I consider RCW kits to among the finest kits offered, and it’s gratifying to see one’s work appreciated.

    1. Nelson, I just picked one of my photos that had lots of models displayed. I noticed they were your works only after I had picked if for the post. The RCW boiler loads caught my eye, but I didn’t realize there were several other RCW kits in the one image. Thank you for displaying so many fine models to the 2023 RPM! – Eric H.
