Another hopper kit addition

Another prototype has been found for the Resin Car Works Enterprise design, 33-foot, offset-side, twin hopper kit. Decal art has been produced and we can announce a new addition to the line! Kit 2.04 covers the Escanaba & Lake Superior hoppers.

The Escanaba & Lake Superior installed five of these chiseled offset-side hoppers from Pullman in June 1949. They were produced jointly with the KGB&W hopper order. The E&LS cars held odd numbers in the 4033-4041 series. See the Kits page on the RCW website for ordering details.

The Detroit & Mackinac also owned a few of this hopper design. We are looking for a few prototype photos of them as we would like to issue a D&M kit. We need help from our readers. We have only seen one image in Classic Freight Cars; Vol.4, by John Henderson. Leave a comment below with your email address if you can help us.
