2016 RPM Chicagoland update

The 2016 RPM Chicagoland has wrapped up and many are in recovery mode. A big round of thanks goes out to Mike Skibbe and his crew to coordinate this year’s version of the popular prototype modeler meet. New kits at RPM Chicagoland!

The Resin Car Works minions have been working hard in preparation for the upcoming RPM Chicagoland meet October 20-22 in Lisle, IL. Yes, those dates are at the end of this week. Parts have come together, instructions are written, and many boxes have been filled with the goods. We look forward to debuting two new HO scale resin freight car kits!

An RPM event at The Beach

The Prototype Rails Prototype Modeler meet wrapped up in Cocoa Beach recently. Railroad modelers attended from all over the United States and one flew in from Sweden. Fifty speakers offered a variety of presentations through two and a half days for the 250+ attendees. Four modelers sent along their impressions of the event and some photos. We hope these personal stories and images inspire readers to attend a railroad prototype modeler meet in 2016. Click on any image here to review a larger size.

Train Fest 2015 Report

Peter Hall attended Train Fest last month and has filed the following report with the Resin Car Works home office. Bob Kosic sent along additional photos and details on the Mod-U-Trak HO scale layout. Click on any image here to review a larger size.

The venue was the Milwaukee State Fair Park’s new indoor arena. The area is about a football field wide and three fields long – huge. The crowd was over 19,000 for the two-day event. I hadn’t been to a model railroad event this large in a long time!
