Here’s the latest Resin Car Works HO scale freight car kit! The CB&Q installed 16,000 cars in the XM-32 boxcar class between 1940 and 1958. This new one piece body kit best represents about 4000 boxcars built during World War II. The kit includes decals and a pair of Tahoe Model Works AAR double truss 50-ton truck side frames.

Workbench Wednesday
Here’s a progress peek at an upcoming Resin Car Works kit. These are parts for an HO scale SFRD Rr-35/36/39/40 reefer kit. Tom Madden has been casting these and the parts are looking great. And yes, that is a one-piece body. The reefer will be one of several kits RCW has planned for 2018.

RCW December update

Here’s news from RCW honcho Frank Hodina.
Resin Car Works is going on hold until the New Year. The holidays are compounding our commitments with family activities and a vacation for a couple of weeks.
We had the best of intentions, but the UTLX Class X kit is a bust! No additional models will be produced. I don’t know what it is about the model, but I just don’t like how it has turned out. If I had known what I know now I would have saved many people a lot of work. I don’t like wasting time. We apologize if you were looking forward to these kits but there have been too many difficulties in the production process and additional product will not be released.
