Order fulfillment

As a reminder to Resin Car Works customers, some orders can take a few months to fulfill. Staggered arrival of kit parts could delay filling orders before everything is on hand to ship. There may also be delays in filling orders for “mature” kits as we wait for demand to justify additional molds. Checks are not cashed until your order is ready to ship.

This reminder is ever more pertinent today as we all deal with the pandemic. RCW works with a number of people who produce castings, etched metal parts, decals, and other kit ephemera. Their processes have also slowed at this time due to material supplier issues. We ask for your patience as we fulfill your orders.

Keep in mind that other resin freight car kit companies operate in similar manners. Chad Boas, Funaro & Camerlengo, Jerry Hamsmith, National Scale Car, Speedwitch Media, Sylvan Scale Models. Westerfield Models, Yarmouth Model Works, and others may be experiencing delays in receiving kit parts for their order fulfillment. We are all small operations dedicated to providing modelers with unique kits of high detail. Your patience is appreciated as we deal with various inconveniences. Thank you.

Oh yeah, one more thing. We have a new kit coming soon. Keep watching here for the details.

    1. Robert, those kits have been discontinued. If the kit isn’t listed on our KITS page, then it is not available. At the top of the KITS page is a link to an archive page for discontinued kits. That’s where modelers can access kit info, instructions, and other files. Here’s the direct link. – EricH.

  1. I just started Southbound Modelworks & Decal Company back in January of this year and I am having slowdowns as well. Getting needed part’s to complete kits is definitely a big issue so I know what you are going through

  2. Hi, another monkey wrench in processing orders. If anyone ships with postal service, they are experiencing issues at processing centers with COVID sickness that leads to employee absences, thus delays in moving parcels. Thanks.

    1. The Post Office, FedEx, UPS, and Amazon are all having difficulties at this time. – Eric H.
