Earlier this year I purchased a custom set of HO scale resin freight car parts from Westerfield Models to assemble a unique Rock Island single-sheathed box car. Modification and assembly of the parts is simple and any modeler could create a similar car with a little time and patience.

I have always liked colorful reefers seen in freight trains or reefer blocks. Fruit Growers Express, Pacific Fruit Express, Santa Fe Refrigerator Despatch, and many others have caught my eye. When Yarmouth Model Works released their attractive Armour reefer, I could not resist.
Resin Car Works honcho Frank Hodina shared this photo recently. It’s an HO scale resin kit produced by Speedwitch Media a number of years ago. Frank created master patterns for casting the parts. He thought it would be a good blog post to show readers that he does build models for his home fleet.
